This trip is approximately 7 miles of tidal flatwater. The plan is to put in at Lindly near high tide and paddle to Waldport on the outgoing tide. The river is small and bayou-like at the launch. Downstream it becomes very wide with lots of exposure to the wind. As always on the coast, wind can be a serious consideration. We might adjust by reversing direction if the wind is too strong, adapting the timing to fit that scenario. Touring boats are best for this trip. We have options to exchange boats for those paddlers who have used other boats on the prior days' trips.
