Nestucca river, class 2 or 2+
TRIP REPORT after trip: the upper half of the run was class 2 in a small, rocky creek like setting, some might call it 2+. The lower half was more agricultural and spaced out more with easier class 2, but had powerful surf waves with eddies, but some of the waves were hard to get on.

We put in about 4 1/2 miles above Blaine, and took out 3 1/2 miles below Blaine. The first part went fast with short stretches of flat water between rapids, the lower part had longer stretches of flat water between rapids. The last mile was pretty slow - will look at shortening it by a mile at another bridge for next time.

Group had no flips. Nothing on it was hard, but upper part made you make quick moves and read water and had fun little drops. No portages. No mandatory get out and scout places.

This run had a lot of action. For solid class 2 boaters. No issues with private property or land owners or anything else. No wood issues either.

We ran it at about 1000 cfs - great level. Probably 850 - 900 would be a min level. A little higher would also be good, but not too much higher or things might start getting washed out and the nature of the run would change.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lets try it again! Water is dropping fast and not much more is forecast this week. So it should drop down to reasonable levels.
