The Winter General Meeting will be held at the Old World Deli in Corvallis, on Thursday, February 9th. We will gather at 7:00 pm to enjoy a bite to eat and/or a delicious beverage. At 7:30 we will hold a short business meeting. This will be followed by a slide presentation by Nathan Pfeifer entitled: Focal Point: Tips and Techniques for Taking Better Photos on the River.
Nathan says, “Although I am not a professional photographer, I am often asked what camera equipment I use on the river by people that follow my blog or see my photos posted on Facebook. I believe anyone can take great photos with any camera; it just takes a little bit of knowledge, practice, and some extra effort.
I will be presenting both the gear and techniques that I use to capture my images -- everything from what camera I use and how I keep it dry, to how I post-process the images to really make them pop. Whether you're planning to document your adventures with photo-rich content, or just want to impress your friends through social media, I look forward to sharing the things that have worked best for me, through much trial and plenty of errors.”
