Water Levels / Weather

  • Oregon River Levels
    Pat Welch's excellent page of Oregon river levels. Also includes calculations for many runs that don't have guages.

E-Lists / Take me to the River!

  • White-Water
    White-water -- A forum for discussing paddle sports. No one needs to be a member of the WKCC to join the White-Water List. The White-Water List was, at one time, assumed to be the that of the WKCC, although it's always been independent.
  • WillametteKayakAndCanoeClub Yahoo Group
    The Willamette Kayak and Canoe Club Yahoogroups discussion forum is operated by members of WKCC, the oldest and arguably best paddling outfit in the Willamette Valley of Western Oregon, USofA.
  • Eugene Kayaker
    Yahoo Group for kayakers in the Eugene Area to communicate with each other, plan trips, and share information.

  • American Whitewater

  • River Network
    River Network cooperates with hundreds of grassroots organizations around the country to improve the quantity and quality of freshwater that supports all life.
  • WaterWatch of Oregon
    WaterWatch of Oregon is a hardworking and effective river conservation organization devoted to restoring and protecting natural flows in Oregon's world-class rivers and streams.

    Source for info on House and Senate bills.

    Corvallis and Albany newspapers are featuring an Intro to Kayaking article, video, slide show and quiz on their website. Be sure to read the "Paddlers' Paradise" article for a good list of kayaking resources.
  • NAWA Rescue
    Specialized training in Swift Water, Vertical, and Cave Rescue; Medical, Backcountry Skills, Teambuilding. Check out their Annual Spring Rescue Training, which covers all above skills, open to all ability levels, min. age 18.
  • Northwest Rescue
    Club member Keith Gillespie's Rescue training website.
  • Wet Planet Whitewater
    Offers kayak courses and clinics for people of different experience levels:  those looking to improve their kayaking skills and/or to enjoy the Pacific Northwest outdoors.
