General Meeting Potluck and Barbecue: Dave Harry Presenter

We'll have a potluck and barbecue at Paul Neville's house starting at 6:00pm.   

At about 7:00 pm we'll be treated to Dave Harry as the guest speaker on Exploring the Outer Coast of Vancouver Island:  Three Trips (and Counting).  Dave will share highlights and images from three sea kayak trips to the western coast of Vancouver Island.  Spanning a total of 28 days, the trips include isolated beaches, wildlife encounters, stunning vistas, varied weather and seas, as well as encounters with people and cultures.  Thinking about planning such a trip on your own?  Dave will also offer comments on books, maps, and other resources.

Additionally, many folks will be paddling the McKenzie River earlier in the day.  We'll probably paddle from Finn Rock to Prince Helfrich Landing, run #86 in Soggy Sneakers.  There may be other various sections of the McKenzie also being paddled that day, depending on group interests and abilities.  Contact Paul for details.  Also, don't forget that parking at Finn Rock and at Prince Helfrich need Lane County Park parking passes.
